COLUMBIA HOMECOMING FESTIVAL
Sponsored by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce

"Rockin to the Oldies (50's & 60's)"
June 25th, 26th & 27th, 2010

The Columbia Homecoming Festival has been a tradition that was originally celebrated during the Fourth of July in the Columbia Township Park.  This festival dates back more than 50 years ago and was organized & sponsored by various groups and organizations.  Over the years, this event was a time when people would get together to support the local organizations that had booths that included games and food.  As this event continued, the following traditions were added over time: Kiwanis kids games, Fireman's water fight, kids bike & pet parade, beauty pageant, car show, battle of the bands contest, grand parade, rides, and live entertainment, and because it was centered around the Fourth of July -- fireworks were added.

In 2005, the Columbia Chamber of Commerce took the reigns of this festival and has since continued to make it bigger and better each year while striving to continue to keep these traditions alive.  In 2007, Columbia Township Celebrated it's Bicentennial Celebration and had it's biggest attendance ever thanks to major newspapers in the Northeast Ohio area telling the story about our big celebration.  During the festival we interviewed and met people who had never heard of our festival, let alone know about Columbia Township (Station) and where we were located.  Thanks to the Columbia Chamber of Commerce sponsoring this website, our festival presence grew rapidly.  The only major change made to the festival was moving the festival dates to the last weekend of June.  This has worked out very well for organizers and vendor schedules.

The Columbia Homecoming Festival Committee and the Columbia Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you and your family to join us for this fun filled family event.  Did we mention that it is FREE to get in?  Please check out our exciting schedule of events planned for this year!
